1. About HabeshaDoctors

HabeshaDoctors is a telemedicine marketplace that connects patients with independent, licensed healthcare professionals for video consultations. We are a technology platform — we do not employ the doctors on our platform, and we do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment directly.

2. Eligibility

To create an account you must be at least 18 years old. Doctors joining the platform must hold a valid medical licence and submit accurate credential information for verification. We reserve the right to refuse registration to anyone who does not meet our eligibility criteria.

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information in your profile
• Notifying us at support@habeshadoctors.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised account access

Each person may hold only one account. Creating duplicate accounts is not permitted.

4. Medical Disclaimer

HabeshaDoctors facilitates connections between patients and healthcare professionals. The platform is NOT a substitute for in-person emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately. Doctors on our platform are independent professionals — HabeshaDoctors does not guarantee the outcome of any consultation.

5. Doctor Responsibilities

Doctors on HabeshaDoctors agree to:

• Maintain a valid and current medical licence
• Provide accurate credential and professional information
• Maintain professional conduct in all patient interactions
• Comply with applicable medical regulations and standards of care
• Attend scheduled consultations punctually

6. Patient Responsibilities

Patients using HabeshaDoctors agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete health information to their doctor
• Attend scheduled appointments or cancel in advance
• Treat all healthcare professionals with respect and professionalism
• Not use the platform for non-medical purposes or inappropriate conduct

7. Payments & Refunds

Consultation fees are set by individual doctors. Payments are processed through Flutterwave. Refunds are available in the following situations:

• The doctor cancels the appointment
• The doctor does not attend the scheduled consultation
• A verified technical issue on our platform prevents the consultation from taking place

Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment by contacting support@habeshadoctors.com.

8. Cancellation Policy

Appointments can be cancelled up to 2 hours before the scheduled consultation time. Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the appointment may not be eligible for a refund. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in account suspension.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, trademarks, and branding on HabeshaDoctors are owned by HabeshaDoctors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse any user or healthcare professional
• Impersonate any person or medical professional
• Provide false medical credentials or health information
• Share illegal, harmful, or offensive content on the platform
• Attempt to access, hack, or disrupt the platform's security systems
• Use the platform for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HabeshaDoctors shall not be liable for: medical outcomes from consultations; disputes between patients and doctors; or technical interruptions, data loss, or service outages beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the consultation in question.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@habeshadoctors.com.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising from the use of HabeshaDoctors will be resolved under Ugandan jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of HabeshaDoctors after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
